GETTING HERE

To find the exhibit, search 650 West Tower Avenue, Alameda, CA in your GPS. The building is very large the entrance to the exhibition is located on the South Side closest to Seaplane Lagoon and beside the Alameda Naval Air Museum.

 

TRANSIT OPTIONS

  • Biking:  Bike parking is available near the exhibit at the Waterfront Park. If coming from Oakland, consider taking the Oakland Alameda Water shuttle, which provides free, bike friendly service between Jack London Square and Alameda’s Bohol Circle.

  • AC Transit Line 96 connects 12th St BART and Lake Merritt BART to Alameda Point. The closest stop to the exhibit is at Pan Am Way and West Tower Ave, less than a 5 minute walk from the exhibit. Line 96 operates 7 days a week. Bikes are welcome on AC Transit buses.

  • SF Bay Ferry - Alameda Seaplane provides weekday service between Alameda Seaplane Lagoon and Downtown SF. The Alameda Seaplane ferry terminal is an 8 minute walk from the exhibit. Bikes are welcome on the ferry.

  • SF Bay Ferry - Alameda Main St Ferry Terminal provides weekday and weekend service between Alameda Point, Jack London Square, Oakland, and Downtown SF. Bikes are welcome on the ferry.

  • Driving: There is limited free parking in front of the main entrance and more free parking is available along W Atlantic Ave and Pan Am Way.

FAQ’s

  • Yes. The exhibition is family-friendly, and Bay Perspectives Gallery includes interactive elements designed to engage visitors of all ages. Children should be supervised at all times.

  • Yes. The hangar is ground-level and wheelchair accessible. Accessible restrooms are available on site and ADA parking is available directly in front of the main entrance. If you would like to reach out to our team with specific questions about access please email tara@westendartsdistrict.org

  • Subject to availability, tickets will be available at the door during public opening hours:

    • Thursday and Friday evenings - check OPY events schedule 

    • Saturday and Sunday 10am - 6pm

EATING AND DRINKING

Alcohol-free drinks and snacks will be available for sale during general opening hours. For special events, a bar serving wine and beer may be available (see specific event description for details).

There are a multitude of food and drink options in Alameda Point. Within walking distance to the exhibition are: 

Almanac Adventureland - family friendly brewery with multiple food truck options.

The Rake @ Admiral Maltings - Beer bar with  New American pub snacks & brews that feature made-on-site malts.

Firebrand Bread - bakery and cafe that offers a delectable range of handcrafted bread, pastries, cakes, sandwiches, and coffee.
