West End Arts District has an impressive track record of producing arts projects which engage our community in the work of building sustainable futures. As the curator of those experiences I have a basic rule of thumb to guide my choices - would it get me out of the house? Would it spark my interest?
I am a working mother of two. I care deeply about the future my children will inherit, and I want the choices I make as a consumer to reflect that. But, I am also time-poor.
Making informed choices requires research. I should read the sustainability pages on company websites, compare commitments, understand supply chains, and learn which businesses are genuinely helping build a better future, but I don’t.
What I do make time for are experiences I can share with my family: a free festival, an inspiring performance, a hands-on art activity, or an afternoon in a public space where my children and I can discover something new together.
That is where Circular Futures comes in–an opportunity to reach people who may never seek out your sustainability report, attend an industry conference, or spend time navigating your website—but who care about the future and make decisions every day about what they buy, support, and value.
Circular Futures Partnership Opportunities
Circular Futures brings together artists, families, residents, environmental leaders, and forward-thinking organizations for a free public celebration of circular economies, creativity, and community. Sponsorship offers businesses and organizations several ways to support the festival, from commissioning an original artist collaboration to helping make the day accessible and welcoming for the wider community.
PARTNERSHIP LEVELS
Sustainability Partner — $6,000
At the heart of Circular Futures will be a series of temporary art installations presented inside shipping containers. Each container will become a compact gallery: an unexpected, visually compelling space where artists transform stories of reuse, repair, resourcefulness, and systems change into memorable public experiences.
Each installation will be created through a collaboration between a Sustainability Partner and a selected visual artist. Through a guided creative process, West End Arts District will help match your organization with an artist from our curated pool of talented Bay Area artists.
The artist will learn about your organization’s work, values, materials, innovations, and impact, then develop an original installation that communicates the essence of that story through sculpture, visual art, sound, interactive elements, reclaimed materials, or another suitable form.
The goal is not to create a branded trade-show booth. It is to create an authentic artwork that captures attention, sparks curiosity, and opens a doorway into the ideas and achievements your organization wants to share.
West End Arts District will provide the exhibition container, artist coordination, creative facilitation, and basic on-site logistical support. Sustainability Partners will provide information and access to people, stories, or materials that can inform the artistic process, and may also provide educational materials to accompany the completed installation.
Festival Partner — $2,500
Festival Partners provide significant support for the broader Circular Futures experience, including performances, talks, family activities, public art, production, and community engagement.
This level is designed to be flexible. Partners may choose to participate actively on the festival day through a 10 x 10 booth, demonstration, speaker, workshop, or sponsored activity. Alternatively, they may support the event as a major contributor without needing to staff an activation or manage an on-site presence.
Festival Partnership is ideal for organizations that want prominent association with Circular Futures and its themes of sustainability, creativity, and community, but are not interested in a commissioned container installation.
Community Partner — $1,000
Community Partners help keep Circular Futures free, welcoming, and accessible to the public.
This level is designed for local businesses, organizations, and supporters who believe in the project and want to contribute to its success without taking on an active festival role. Community Partner support helps underwrite essential costs such as artist fees, access services, family activities, technical production, site infrastructure, and community outreach.
Community Partners will be recognized as valued supporters of a festival that brings people together around art, environmental imagination, and a shared commitment to a more regenerative future.
